CWC-FPRA’s incoming president, Sheryl Vieira, treated the soon-to-be-installed 2022-2023 CWC Chapter Baord to a special day of professioal development and board bonding. On August 19, the incoming board members started the day by meeting at the FPRA State Office. Those who hadn’t been there before got a brief of tour and said hello to the KSC team, then everyone boarded a chartered bus bound for Walt Disney World!
Sheryl’s dear friend Debbie Bellavia Hart works in human resources for Disney and was able to arrange an intimate conversation for us with VP of Communications Jacquee Wahker, MBA, and her team. It was a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the Team Disney Building, and hear about the communications strategy that went into lauching the Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary celebration during the height of the pandemic. Of course, we were all ears!
It was a magical day that also included lunch at Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort as well as strategic planning and goal setting during the bus trip back and forth to Orlando. The 2022-2023 board is excited and ready to take on the year, and we look forward to providing CWC members with professional development events and services that let you know #YouBelongatFPRA.
