What was your first job in PR?
Though some of my previous positions involved PR, my first true experience was through my position of Marketing Manager at the Reilly Arts Center in Ocala. Marketing shows for a theater just felt “right” to me and still does today.

What’s your #MyFPRA story?
FPRA was mentioned during the interview for my current position. I was eager to join the Van Wezel team and I couldn’t wait to get involved in this artsy community. Joining FPRA seemed like the perfect way to meet other professionals who are just as passionate about their industries as I am about the arts.

What’s your dream job?
It is a dream that I landed THIS job! I just relocated to Sarasota specifically for this position. I have always wanted to be an advocate for the arts while still being able to freelance as a flutist in my spare time. Working in PR allows me to spread awareness about upcoming shows to audiences from all walks of life. In any given week during season at the Van Wezel, you’ll see different groups coming to different shows with a common goal: to enjoy themselves. With my Cuban-American heritage and musical upbringing, I have a great sense of pride every time I get to say that Gloria Estefan’s musical, On Your Feet!, is coming to the Van Wezel for a week. I consider myself lucky every day.
