Dear FPRA members & friends:
Happy New Year!
Like most people, I love the start of a new year. It’s a time for new beginnings, goals and a fresh outlook. This time last year was really difficult for me as I lost my father. While there will always be a giant hole in my heart, I am forever grateful for the continued love of my FPRA family. Our organization is truly special. While we are an ambitious group of people, there is not an ounce of negative competition. I have experienced nothing but support and friendship and I’m pretty certain I speak for everyone involved. Thank you.
It’s exciting to see our chapter grow. I look forward to getting to know our new members. The year is off to a great start with plenty of opportunities to get together (four in January alone!) from professional development luncheons and member mixers to a volunteer opportunity to build a Habitat home and our members-only book club (see additional details below).
I’m particularly enthused about our new mentorship program, which is about to kick off. Next week we will be sending introductions to the mentors/mentee partnerships. We had a great response and I hope this program continues to expand for years to come. If you are still interested in becoming a mentor or mentee, it’s not too late. You can find more information or sign up on our website if you are a member who wishes to participate.
Here’s to 2020!
Sincerely,
Kim Livengood, APR, CPRC
