SUMMARY:CPRC Power Session
DESCRIPTION:Consider becoming a Certified Public Relations Counselor. The Central West Coast Chapter is hosting an interactive online workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday\, September 12\, 2020 that is designed to empower and embolden those preparing for the CPRC exam. \nSaturday’s session will be interactive and engaging with a series of challenges and group discussions for those interested in earning the credential. \nCan I participate? \nWe want you to achieve your career goals. If you have an interest in obtaining your CPRC credential\, we are happy to assist. However\, for this particular event\, it is best if you meet one of the following criteria: \n\nIf you have earned your APR and want to start preparing yourself to one day earn your CPRC. (In order to be eligible to earn your CPRC\, you must have achieved your APR and have at least 10 years of experience in the field.)\nIf you are eligible to earn both your APR and your CPRC (in other words\, you have a minimum of 10 years of practicing public relations and are ready to take on the challenge to get them both).\n\nIf you don’t meet the above criteria\, don’t fret. Simply send us an email at accreditation@cwcfpra.com so that we can discuss your professional development advancement. We are here to help you achieve your career goals. \nHow do I register? \nSend an email to accreditation@cwcfpra.com. A Zoom link will be sent to you. \nWhat do I need? \nThe session will be hosted on Zoom. \n\nYou will need a computer.\nYou will either need paper and pen/pencil OR a word processor.\nYou will need snacks and a lunch to munch on during the sessions. Because we are doing this via Zoom\, there was no way to order pizza (blame the pandemic!) and we have a fast-paced\, packed agenda ahead.\n\nHow do I prepare? \nDon’t worry about preparation. If you want\, read some case study books. But that is not necessary. \nWhat About APR? Will you be planning something soon for that? \nWe intend to host a session in early December to discuss APR and the process to earn this coveted credential. If you are interested in starting the process now\, please reach out to us at accreditation@cwcfpra.com.

SUMMARY:Fear to Freedom - Registration Open!
DESCRIPTION:What makes us feel fear? \nChange\, going into the unknown\,  not being in control of something. \nWhy are we afraid? Could be a past relationship\,upbringing\, bad work experience…. all of these things create self doubt. \nA recent article in the New York Observer recently claimed that “fear is the new normal.”[1] Fear influences the choices we make. Yet making decisions motivated by fear is flawed\, if not dangerous; it will never lead to the healthy\, fulfilling lives we crave. \nWell\, today\, I want to help change that. I want to transform that fear you’re experiencing\, and use it to help you find your freedom. Freedom from anxiety\, freedom from what other people may think\, and all the other things that bog us down. It’s time to break out of the rut\, and reclaim who we are. \nLet’s leave fear behind and find our freedom. \n\nHolly began her career in the medical device industry in 1997. She quickly began to excel and outperform many men around her. Not long after starting her career she was faced with the reality that in order to continue to excel in the industry she would have to adopt the group values of the “dick clique” and membership inside the boys club would be an uphill battle – a battle to preserve personal and professional identity. She eventually decided to completely opt-out and left corporate America for good to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams. \nFueled with the passion and knowledge she gained from her many experiences\, she helps other women escape the “dick clique” by coaching them to build their new abundant life and business ventures. She is gifted at pushing women into their most confident selves in order to achieve their dreams. Together\, she will guide you on how to get from where you are to where you want to be. \nRegister Today!

While there is no set-in-stone formula for success\, there are key common traits of high-performing teams.  This presentation will focus on those traits and will share insights from senior communications leaders on their definition of high performing communications organizations. \nRegister Today!\n  \nSponsored by: \n \nPlease note\, when you get to Dattoli Cancer Center please park on west side of the building (not in front). SUMMARY:Operation Gratitude
DESCRIPTION:The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) is an organization filled with more than 100 communicators\, public relations and marketing professionals in Sarasota\, Bradenton and Venice. They are drawn to a good story\, especially ones that are inspiring. \nCWC-FPRA members befriended a local toy inventor and filmmaker\, Tim Walsh\, who produced a documentary titled OPERATION: Operation The Power of Play. This 28-minute documentary chronicles the classic American story of John Spinello\, who struck a raw deal to sell the game patent for $500. He forfeited his rights to royalties and saw the game go on to sell 45 million copies. This is the story of how John’s broken heart was mended after learning the game he invented has touched many more people\, in many more ways than he ever could have imagined. \nJohn is now 82-years-old and although not bitter\, his financial situation forced him to sell his dream home and drives for a ride-sharing service. CWC-FPRA wants to help this man who continues to bring joy to so many people. \nA portion of money raised from this event will also benefit Family Network on Disabilities of Manasota (FND)\, a local non-profit organization that assists families of children with disabilities and special needs to go “from Heartache to Hope – One Family at a Time.” \nPurchase Your Tickets Today!\nClick here for sponsorship information!\nSupport our GoFundMe campaign!\n\nAdam’s Apple Sponsors:\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nFunny Bone Sponsors:\nKSC\nCFS Management\nFPRA Volusia/Flagler Chapter \nIn-Kind\n \n \n  \nPlease note\, this event is 21+ only.
